My Birthday

Birthday cake; The cookie letters mean 'Congrats.'
My birthday Feb. 6th fell on last Monday turned out to be one of the most terrible birthday in my life.
I caught the flu, influenza type B, on the day and fell in bed for full five days.

My body temperature rose up to almost 39 centigrade for two days. Now, it has become normal. But, I'm still suffering from a bad persistent cough.

I haven't worked since last Tuesday. So, I'm sure, I'll find tons of works tomorrow in the office.
I guess, in this case, every work is commented on with a yellow post-it “the most important and urgent.”  ...  Sigh.

My Birthday

I had my 51st birthday yesterday, on February 6th.

Kiyono, my wife bought a birthday cake for me at her favorite sweet shop as she did on my birthday last year.

This time, she asked a staff of the sweet shop some candles. We put them on the cake top and lit them to celebrate my birthday.

I bought a birthday present to me by myself last year. The present was a trip to Florida with my family. I still vividly remember the wonderful trip. Honesty, I can’t believe that the trip was the event almost one year ago.

I’m vaguely thinking of buying a present to me again but don’t know what it would be.
A tennis racket, a bike, a camera, a PC, an iPad, a trip …

The thinking process itself can be fun to me.

Rina's Birthday

We celebrated Rina's birthday having a cake with full of berries on it on January 9th, the next day of her birthday. She has become fifteen years old.

Happy birthday to Rina.

I wanted to go to somewhere to eat out with family as we did last year. But, this year, Rina has been very busy for preparing her high school entrance exam scheduled coming March.
So, we could not have a party on her birthday.
Instead, we cerebrated her and ate the cake at home early morning on the next day before she goes to her cram school.

My wife Kiyono bought the cake at the same sweets shop as she had bought one on my birthday.
The cake was not only delicious but also looked very beautiful.
We enjoyed the juicy and yummy cake very much.

Rina brought back several birthday presents from her friends from school.

My Wife's Birthday

My wife Kiyono became forty three years old two days ago on October 17.  I gave a red rose to her on the day.

I usually play tennis on the top of the building on Saturday afternoon. After finishing the tennis, I went to a flower shop located on the basement floor in the same building and bought it.

I don’t think I’m such a romanticist as a guy who buys 43 roses to his wife. But even it is only one rose, it can brighten and change atmosphere of our small condominium.

Our rabbit was watching the rose enviously for a long time.

My Birthday

My wife, Kiyono bought a cake to celebrate my 50th birthday on February 6th. I was very happy to have had the wonderful day with my family members. I had a piece of the cake and drunk several cans of beer.

I think a birthday brings different feelings to each generation, teenagers, twenties, thirties …
I think that the older one grows, the more one’s feeling becomes complicated.

I’m planning to give a big birthday present to me and to my family: an oversea trip in this coming March.
I was so busy last year on business that I couldn’t travel abroad.
I haven’t decided the destination yet but I'm quite excited to think of it.

Happy Birthday To Rina!

Rina and Emi are posing before noodle soup.
Rina brought back lots of presents.
Rina, my younger daughter had a birthday on January 8th. She has become fourteen years old. I asked her if there was something special she wanted as a birthday present. But, so far, she hasn’t told me any. So, I haven’t bought her birthday present yet but just promised to buy one when she decides.

On the contrary, Emi, elder daughter never misses to ask me a present a few weeks before her birthday. Even Emi and Rina have grown up in the same family, their personalities are quite different.

Few days ago, Rina brought back lots of birthday presents from her school. She told me that the presents were from her classmates or friends of the same track and field club. She was very pleased to have gotten so much.

We went to a noodle soup shop “Kyushu Ichiban” yesterday to celebrate both her birthday and the silver medal she had gotten at Utsunomiya Marathon last year. I think that “Kyushu Ichiban” is one of the best noodle shops in Utsunomiya. The taste of the white soup is really excellent.
If you have chance to visit Utsunomiya, never miss eating at “Kyushu Ichiban.”

Happy Birthday, Emi!

Emi, my elder daughter, had her sixteenth birthday last week. She is already taller and heavier than my wife. She has grown up amazingly over last one or two years.

Emi is a member of a drama club of her high school. I guess that most of her close friends are her club members. She seemed to have gotten many emails from them celebrating her birthday.

We didn’t have her birthday party, but I bought a birthday present to her. She has been asking me a new mp3 music player with larger memory size. I went to Yodobashi discount shop and bought one for her. Sony NW-S638F is the one I bought her.

NW-S638F is very cool and its various functions in a small body surprised me very much. Emi was jubilant with the present and I was happy to have seen her smile.
